Our unique foundation yoga class for the beginner, the stiff, old or broken or the experienced practitioner wanting to re-establish correct alignment.
15 years in the making - this yoga/physio hybrid class is a powerful tool to create a solid foundation in your body and also in your yoga practice. Originally designed to help people with physical issues or those in need of injury rehabilitation, it soon became a cult class for practitioners of all levels wanting to re-establish correct technique & alignment and stabilise the body.
The slower pace, combined with poses where yoga meets scientifically proven physiotherapy exercises make this a challenging but safe class suitable for all. It also prepares us for the other classes in the FG Method making it an excellent beginners class.
A powerful tool in injury rehabilitation S.O.B. works to stabilise injuries such as lower back issues, knee problems and hamstring injuries. Don’t be fooled by its name, you will be encouraged to work hard so you can get the results you want while also being taught alignment, correct technique and how to modify for your body type or injury.
Level - suitable for any level of practice
Props needed - just you and a mat or if injured two blocks (yoga bricks) to support knee issues or general stiffness and a strap or dressing gown belt for tight shoulders
