Beast B (90 minutes) includes the Lotus Series, (Beast A includes the Tortoise Series).
Taught by its creator Michele, this Beast class will give you the building blocks to go from an Intermediate practice (FG2) into the Fierce class (aka Beast) while safely learning how to bridge the gap between and intermediate and an advanced practise.
It is recommended you are proficient in Fierce Grace 2 (FG2) before commencing this class.
Michele teaches a group of motivated intermediate students, most of whom had not taken the class before, in order to show how to begin working on your strength and flexibility, safely and enjoyably.
Beast A (see other video) includes the Tortoise Series - not the Lotus Series, so is better suited to anyone with knee issues. Beast B (this version) includes the Lotus Series, so is better for anyone with lower back issues, not knee issues.
However, you will be given modifications and Stage 1,2,3 entry in both classes, so you can develop your practice safely.
Always work within your comfort zone when beginning a new class, never work into any discomfort, and build your practise slowly, with a regular, pain free practice.
Lotus series is not supposed to hurt your knees. If it does, don't do it. Once your hips are more open, your knees will find comfort in beginner stages of Lotus. Meniscus issues are contraindicated in Lotus series, so do not perform anything that creates discomfort in the knee.
