Beast A includes the Tortoise Series (Beast B - see other video - includes the Lotus Series)
Taught by its creator Michele, this Beast class will give you the building blocks to go from an Intermediate practice (FG2) into the Fierce class (aka Beast.)
Michele teaches a group of motivated intermediate students, most of whom had not taken the class before, in order to show how to begin working on your strength. flexibility, breath and entry protocols, safely and enjoyably.
Beast A includes the Tortoise Series - so is better suited to anyone with knee issues wanting to practise. (Beast B includes the Lotus Series, so is better for anyone with lower back issues, not suitable for anyone with knee issues.)
You will be given modifications and Stage 1,2,3 entry in both classes, so you can develop your practice safely.
It is recommended you are proficient in Fierce Grace 2 (FG2) before commencing this class.
When beginning any new class, especially a more advanced class, you should work only within your comfort zone, never go into any pain, sit out poses you can not comfortably perform and listen to your body’s signals.
It is better to practise a little, often, then once in a while and push harder.
Contra-indicated for anyone with any injury, but Beast A specifically contraindicated for lower back issues (sit out the Tortoise Series or any deep forward bends and always stay within your comfort zone, keeping lower back muscles engaged and back flat.
